Starbase Versailles

Greetings and welcome to Starbase 99 also known as Starbase Versailles.  

Here on Starbase Versailles we serve a number of purposes. Versailles sits at a pivotol point within the Beta Quadrant - at the nexus or near nexus of the three major powers: the Federation, the Romulan Empire and the Klingon Empire. As such the station is a hub of activity both politically and economically.

Those who serve in Starfleet soon learn that they cannot harbor old grudges and find success or peace on the station. Starbase Versailles is slowly regaining the stature of it's historical namesake. Noone knows what the future holds but those who come to Versailles hope it finds one that is more prosperous for all concerned that the past they have left behind.

Versailles is situated in orbit of YaDalla within the Oraken System (Draken System). Formerly a Romulan inhabited planet, YaDalla now supports a newly established Federation Colony. YaDalla Colony only exists in that of domes because of the constant weather changes and the fact that planet is a Class M planet consisting of large bodies of water that cover most of the surface.

Recent tectonic activity has been picked up as of 2415. The colony  has formed a local government which consists of a plenary council led by an elected governor.
