Starbase Versailles
Federation Space
Federation space is spread over 4 quadrants - Alpha, Beta, Delta and Gamma. The Beta Quadrant is in the lower left corner of the map.
Starbase Versailles is situated at the junctuion of Federation space, Klingon space and Romulan space. It's located near the Tomika system and orbits the planet of YaDalla. Versailles is the hub for the Border Defense Network. It honors it's namesake and affords a diplomatic hub as well and has in its past been led by all three of the major empires. It is the current command staff's hope that Versailles will once more become a bastion of peace and joint operations between the empires. Only time will tell.
This is a cut out of the Beta Quadrant. As you can see, the Klingon empire, Federation space and the Romulan Empire border one another. There are also non-aligned planetary systems that buffer all three empires - a neutral zone.
The Klingon Empire
Note: Starfleet ships in theory can be in any quadrant at any given time depending on their plot needs. Maps are just there to give you an approximate idea of what we mean when we refer to YaDalla sector command movements. This doesn't mean that a plot can't happen in the Alpha Quadrant, Delta Quadrant or Gammar Quadrant - all of which are part of the Trek Universe.
The map below shows the relative scope of YaDalla Sector oversight and the border area patrolled by the Border Defense Network. The BDN patrols as far north as Iconia, south to Bellatrix. SF patrol movements from the border east to Hromi Cluster (approximately)
