SD240106.22 - Winds of Change  (The Making of IXL Fleet)

"So," Kelley looked at Korin and the three sealed packets the Fleet Captain carried. "What next?  Reveal those names involved?"
"No."  Korin's voice betrayed nothing.  "It would serve no purpose at this time.  Each government will have to deal with its own internal problems.  They will have to deal with those within those governments who allow this crime, if they do not, none of us will survive the next attack on them.  When that happens, the Romulans, Klingons, and the Federation will all be erased from history...with nothing left but ruins and relics to be studied by the future."

"But it must be made known," argued Alexander.

"To what purpose?" Korin arched a brow.  "Continuation of an unjust war?  The very acts only prove that unless we cease our conflicts, no one will be able to resist the coming storms."

"Precisely," Korin replied. "The President has given her full support, as have the Vulcans."

"There are those in SF who don't like it," Alexander added.

Kelley grinned.  "I saw her communique to those in SF COMMAND, and the Council.  She suggested if no one like it, they start looking for new career choices."

Korin checked himself in the mirror.  "Did you finally get a report on the 'Star?"

"Yes," Alexander replied. "It took a couple of days, but last report is the 'Star is enroute from the Tholian border."
Korin stopped and turned.  "Tholian border?  The Oc-tinin Nebula is on the other side of Federation space...in the Alpha Quadrant...the Tholian border and SB 24 are in the Beta Quadrant."

Alexander shrugged.

Korin arched a brow, then started for the door.  "Gentlemen, we have signing to atten
