THE LEGACY CONTINUES
First, there was the USS Whitestar - NX-80001
The Starship Whitestar was the produced after the prototype of the USS Magellan. The Magellan class explorer is the largest ship ever built by Starfleet. As an experimental star ship the Whitestar bares the registration of NX. The Whitestar is currently assigned to the Alpha quadrant under the command of Fleet Captain Ian Korin. Her previous mission was to make the Dominion think twice about attacking the Federation. Her fire power helped provide stability through out the quadrant. As the dominion is no longer a threat the USS Whitestar has been assigned various diplomatic missions over the last several months.
In 2399xx.xx the USS Magellan, the Whitestar's sister ship, was destroyed during an attack on Starbase 220. Currently the USS Whitestar is the only of her class in service.

The USS Whitestar sim was born SD 2396 under command of Capt Swimmer as a modified Intrepid Class vessel (NX-1362).
The current CO, Admiral Ian Korin , took command of the USS - Whitstar on SD239806.10.
The previous Whitestar, modified Magellan-class, was launched SD239806.21. Korin has been in command since (239806.10) and holds the distinction as the longest consistant CO of a single sim in the organization at the time.

Late in 2401 the USS Whitestar was one more pulled into diplomatic maneuvers when the ship and the crew who chose to remain were assigned to the Klingon Empire as part of a peace treaty which ended the Romulan/Federation/Klingon conflict. Over the course of several months the Whitestar made its way to Qo'Nos where it became the flagship of the Imperial Xeno Legion - and was renamed there was the IXL Whitestar - NX-80001

The ship underwent modifications - one of which was all SF data was wiped from the memory core, all codes removed - in order to ensure that no classified or otherwise sensitive information would be accessible by the Empire. The Legion was granted the ability by all three powers to act in situations where neither government wanted to officially intervene. For the Empire, they became a liason with the Federation and Romulans in an effort to rebuild relationships.
Late in 2415 the IXL Whitestar was reactivated and a new ship class assigned. The new IXL Whitestar is an Odyssey class vessel and is under command of Admiral Ian Korin. It is once again the flagship of the Independent Xeno Legion, granted such status after the Legion proved its neutrality and its ability to resolve conflicts where the major powers could not or would not. The Legion has garnered quite a reputation, feared by some and awed by others, among the independent worlds which exists throughout all 4 quadrants as a group that prides itself on the ideals of justice and peaceful co-existence - which at times is only achieved in battle - battles of last resort and yet the Legion is also respected for it's compassion and mercy. Like the cacophony of species that make the Legion work - the hybridizations of technology that keep it strong, the Legion is a study of paradox at its best.
